DIRECTOR´S BIO:

Sebastian Cordoba, Director and Producer, is a lawyer and writer who moved from Argentina to the United States to pursue a career in filmmaking.

In 2002, he completed LIVING PROOF, A DOCUMENTARY ABOUT GAY TEENAGE SUICIDE SURVIVORS, a piece that had a very succesful run in the film festival circuit, participating in several of them both in the United States and abroad.

post-production facilities in New York, with extensive experience in TV pilots, fashion and as an documentary editor, he has worked in numerous and prestigious projects, such as THE BALLAD OF GREENWICH VILLAGE, by award winning director Karen Kramer, to have its world premiere at the Toronto Film Festival in 2005.

For Jim de Seve, he became an associate editor in TYING THE KNOT, a feature length documentary that opened commercially to great reviews all across the United States. With israeli director Yaniv Dabach, he is working on the documentary feature WITH YOU!.

Previously, he helped launch PBS.com, a sports web-site and became its first content manager and developer, working with live broadcasting and streaming video. He served as an editor for TIME Magazine for several years in New York. He has also worked as a copy editor for The Wall Street Journal, Fortune Magazine and for CNN, adjusting and reviewing TV scripts. In addition, Sebastian has obtained a Master’s Degree at Hunter College’s, Film, Communication and Digital Media Studies program.

LAVI SOLOWAY- (back to top of page)

Lavi Soloway, producer, was born in Toronto, Canada, he is a graduate of the University of Toronto and Yeshiva University Cardozo Law School. He joined Noemi Masliah in the practice of immigration law in 1994.
Mr. Soloway is a frequent lecturer and panelist at legal conferences and law schools on subjects ranging from basic immigration law to asylum.

Mr. Soloway has been invited to provide training at INS Asylum Offices. Furthermore, Mr. Soloway helped draft the Permanent Partners Immigration Act which is currently pending in the U.S. House of Representatives with 100 co-sponsors, and is nationally recognized for his expertise in immigration matters relating to same-sex couples and gay and lesbian asylum seekers. This is his first venture in documentary production.

Owner of Hear No Evil Films, Kim Fishman produced FAT GIRLS an award-winning independent feature film that premiered at the Toronto Film Festival in 2006. FAT GIRLS won the Emerging Talent Award at OutFest (2006), as well as Best First Feature Award at the North Carolina Gay  and Lesbian Film Festival (2006).


Kim was also the Associate Producer on 39 POUNDS OF LOVE, which won the Israeli Academy Award and numerous Best Documentary Awards and was short-listed for the 2006 US Academy Awards for Best Documentary.  Kim is also the current Director of the Los Angeles chapter of IndieClub, a worldwide networking organizations for filmmakers.
